S. Nambi Narayanan is a well-known Indian aerospace engineer who formerly worked for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
In 2019, he was presented with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award that can be bestowed by the Government of India.

S. Nambi Narayanan is a native of Tamil Nadu and was born on the 12th of December 1941. He hails from this state. In Nagercoil, the city of his birth, he was welcomed into a family of Tamil people. He received his diploma from DVD Higher Secondary School, where he had completed all of his schooling.
When Nambi was the senior official in ISRO and in charge of the cryogenics division in the team of Vikas engine that would be used for the first PSLV that India launched, he was arrested and falsely accused of espionage in November of 1994.
During this time, Nambi was also the subject of a spying investigation. He was accused of disclosing sensitive information about the defense establishment to two individuals named Mariam Rasheeda and Fauzia Hassan, both of whom were supposed to be working with Maldivian intelligence.
